Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking an Auditor 2 in Phoenix to conduct statewide inspections and evaluations for public facing industries under ADOT oversight. You will review documentation, make recommendations, and travel via state vehicle as required.
Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, conducting compliance inspections, generating reports, and supporting improvement of program operations. Background check required and E-Verify for new hires.
This position is responsible for conducting and evaluating statewide inspection programs for public facing industries that fall under ADOT for regulatory oversight. Reviews and examines various required documentation regarding private and other governmental organizations. This position will make recommendations based upon inspection/audit findings. Required to drive a state vehicle for travel.
Facilitate meetings with owners or representatives statewide; conduct compliance inspections verifying compliance with required guidelines and code of federal regulations, state and local laws; ensure the department's minimum training standards are being taught; issue appropriate reports for non-compliance and complete appropriate reporting process; provide recommendations to improve program operation.
Perform background research to support inspection assignment, including review of prior audits, documentation, and compliance requirements. Generate reports and analyze inspection procedures, providing recommendations for improvement as needed.
Maintain and track inspections and generate reports and data for management review. Prepare final reports and recommendations for upper management.

Two years experience in an office environment which includes preparing and providing oral and written responses to related questions from the general public, evaluating documents for completeness, high volume of email/phone calls and preparing reports.

As this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply.
