These compliance examinations are done in person throughout the state of Nebraska at the real estate brokerage office locations.Conducts routine to complex field review and audits of statistical and financial records. Reconciles general ledger accounts. Analyzes supporting documentation for audit results and verifies accuracy of information. Formulates adjustments to bring data into compliance with regulations. Compiles and reports audit findings. Answers client's questions regarding audit procedures and findings. Plan, prepares, and acquires all audit data/documentation. Determines compliance of records and processes with statutes, regulations, and standards. Possible internal accounting and financial duties as assigned.Operates a motor vehicle to access firms where field examinations are performed. Prepares reports indicating level of compliance with guidelines established by statute and the Commission. Follow up within 30 days to assure that all deficiencies are remedied. Performs special examinations in instances where compliance issues have been identifiedSubmit reports and audits to the Nebraska Real Estate Commission.Requirements/Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting and experience in conducting financial audits.Legal Requirements: Positions in this classification are subject to Title 42, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 1 - Minimum Standards for Government Employees Identified as Auditors.
