Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a detail‑oriented auditor for the Cage and related areas. You will collect and reconcile transactions, audit key reports, and provide timely, accurate information while upholding confidentiality and company policies.

The role requires flexibility across shifts and a commitment to customer service excellence. Ideal candidates will interpret safety rules, perform basic math, and maintain accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience recommended.
  • Read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Accurately calculate figures and perform basic math.
  • Must qualify for WV Lottery license annually.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Access.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and reconciles all transactions handled by the Cage and related areas.
  • Audits Drop Verification Report to CDS.
  • Audits necessary slot reports to provide accurate revenue information.
  • Audits Master Games Report to supporting documentation and CDS.
  • Audits various outlets, F&B, Gift Shops, etc.
  • Audits Revenue Room and Pari-Mutuel activity.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports upon request.
  • Abides by all company, lottery commission, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepares exception reports for procedural violations and notifies supervisor or management as needed.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Enthusiastically supports and demonstrates superior customer service.
  • Maintains confidentiality of internal security functions and interacts professionally with customers and staff.
  • Performs meetings and training as required.
  • Performs all duties safely and reports hazards promptly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner and reports safety hazards immediately.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a minimum of one year related experience and/or training.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret a variety of technical and mathematical formulas. Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Lottery and Racing Commissions every year of employment.
  • Intermediate user in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Diplomatic and tactful; speak clearly and politely; respond well to questions. Deals effectively and interacts well with the customers and employees.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Can work in an environment where smoking is permitted and with higher than normal noise levels.
