Job summary

RSM US LLP in Baltimore is seeking an Assurance Associate for Fall 2027. This entry-level role supports audit engagements for mid-market clients and helps ensure GAAP compliance and high-quality financial reporting.

You'll work in a collaborative, client-focused team with a hybrid work model, travel up to 25%, and opportunities for CPA path development as you build core audit skills and professional growth at RSM.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.A / B.S. degree from an accredited university by the time employment commences.
• Accounting major.
• Meeting education requirement for CPA certification in the state where you are applying for employment.
• Travel to assigned client locations is required; ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and GAAP/GAAS issues.
• Develop an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.
