Base pay range

$95.00/hr - $105.00/hr

Responsibilities

A client with Kforce is seeking an Audit Trail Architect to join their team remotely. This person must be able to work EST hours. We are looking for a meticulous and security-focused Audit Trail Architect with 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing audit systems to ensure complete traceability and non-repudiation across all transactional and wallet interactions. This role is critical to establishing tamper-proof audit mechanisms that span development, staging, and production environments in highly secure and distributed ecosystems. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain end-to-end audit trail frameworks to ensure all wallet and transaction activities are fully traceable and verifiable
• Implement cryptographic methods and secure logging practices to guarantee non-repudiation of actions
• Standardize audit data formats and transmission protocols across multi-environment architectures (dev/test/prod)
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and security teams to embed audit requirements into infrastructure and application workflows
• Define policies and guardrails for audit retention, access control, and data integrity validation
• Perform regular reviews and simulations to ensure audit trail reliability under operational and adversarial conditions
• Enable real-time alerting and forensic support through structured, queryable audit streams
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in secure logging, auditing frameworks, or security architecture, preferably in blockchain or distributed systems environments
• Deep understanding of cryptographic signatures, tamper-evident logs, and access control models
• Proficiency with tools such as ELK stack, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, or custom audit pipelines
• Strong knowledge of blockchain architectures, wallet protocols, and transaction flows
• Ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into scalable, technical audit strategies
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
