Job summary

Vrakas CPAs + Advisors is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead audit teams at our Madison, WI office. You will supervise staff, coordinate engagements, and drive high-quality client service across industries.

The role requires 4+ years in assurance, supervisory experience, and CPA-eligible credentials. Strong communication, client-relations, and collaboration skills are essential. Travel will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience providing assurance services in public accounting.
• 1+ years of supervisory or mentoring experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting or equivalent; CPA credit hours required.

• Supervise associates, encourage collaboration, and monitor teams as they execute audits, reviews, and compilations
• Continue to enhancetechnical skills and in-depth knowledge of client serviceswhileworkingacross variousindustries
• Coordinate engagement staffing,monitorbudgets and project performance, and manage timelines to ensure efficient execution and high-quality client service
• Beginfacilitatingclient relationships and assurance tasks in a manager role
• Regularly collaboratewithshareholders,managers,and otherinternal leaders
• Work directly with controllers,CFOs,and business ownersthrough assurance engagements
• Continuedassurance, education, andtechnical trainingtoensure professional development
• Travel is expected, as needed, to meet firm and client needs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience providing assurance servicesin public accounting
• 1+ years of proven supervisory or mentor experience
• A bachelor's or master's degree in accountingor equivalent
• Mustpossessthe necessary credit hours to be eligible for CPA licensure
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to foster client relationships across various industries
• Experience with Microsoft 365 with a strong understanding of Excel and Word
• Ability to address requests from clients and the firm ina timely, precise, and professional manner
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective in both independent work and team collaboration
• Ability to consistentlyperform services with integrity,reliability, and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Manufacturing, construction, distribution, real estate, orother relatedindustry experience
• Passionfor problem-solving and being a technical resource for team members
• Participation in new business development opportunities and events
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Zoom
• CCH accounting software experience, including Workflow, Engagement, and PracticeManagement
