Job description

• Supervise all aspects of accounting, tax or audit engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers and adherence to quality control standards
• Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses and contribute to engagement analysis and planning
• Adhere to engagement budget constraints, complete assigned tasks on time, and explain variances when needed
• Achieve charge hour goals
• Review engagement team members’ accounting, tax, or auditing work and provide constructive review points
• Supervise and guide team members on engagements
• Train and mentor engagement team members and support their technical and professional development
• Assist Managers, Directors, or Managing Directors with client billing
• Develop specialization and expertise in an industry or area
• Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen to identify cross-serve opportunities
• Participate in practice development activities and qualified professional organizations
• Execute administrative duties and other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Taxation or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred
• CPA candidates preferred
• Construction accounting experience preferred
