Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead and execute attest engagements with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. You will plan, assess risk, research, and deliver findings to managers and partners while ensuring compliance with GAAP and AICPA standards.

You will mentor associates, review workpapers, and maintain strong client relationships across industries such as manufacturing, construction, hospitality, and real estate.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree is required.
  • 3+ years of audit experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial statement disclosures, and GAAS.
  • Experience serving clients in manufacturing, construction, hospitality, professional services, NFP, real estate, and employee benefit plans.
  • CPA status or in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all phases of attest engagements including planning, risk assessment, reporting.
  • Prepare workpapers documenting engagement scope and findings per AICPA.
  • Review workpapers and provide coaching to associates.
  • Draft financial statements and disclosures per GAAP.
  • Provide timely engagement updates to managers and partners.
  • Manage day-to-day client relations.

Job description

  • Conduct all phases of attest engagements, including planning, risk assessment, research, reporting of findings, and other required procedures
  • Prepare workpapers documenting engagement scope and findings in accordance with AICPA standards
  • Complete assignments, tasks, and project components accurately, timely, and within budget
  • Perform technical research and develop and present conclusions to supervisors
  • Review workpapers prepared by associates and interns
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching
  • Draft financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP
  • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on engagements
  • Provide timely engagement status updates to the manager and partner
  • Manage day-to-day client relations and develop effective client relationships
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 3+ years of audit experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial statement disclosures, and generally accepted auditing standards required
  • Experience working with clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction, hospitality, professional services, NFP, real estate, and employee benefit plans
  • CPA successfully achieved or in progress
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Client service oriented
  • Must be currently eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility and identification
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
