Job summary

BNY is offering a Summer Internship in Audit Practice in New York. The program provides on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to governance, risk management, and internal controls within a global financial services firm.

Interns will work with experienced audit professionals to build technical knowledge, report findings, and gain practical experience across processes, risks, and controls in BNY’s diverse operations.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying

Responsibilities

• Support audit work by reviewing processes, risks, and controls across different parts of BNY’s business and operations
• Help analyze information, document observations, and identify themes pointing to control gaps or opportunities
• Contribute to audit testing, walkthroughs, and reporting to show how processes and controls operate
• Partner with audit professionals and business stakeholders to gather information and translate findings into insights
• Gain exposure to governance, risk management, and internal controls in a global financial services company
