NorthPoint Search Group in Orland Park, IL is seeking an audit staff professional to join a fast-paced, integrity-driven practice. You will perform testing across key financial statement areas, assist senior staff, and contribute to delivering high-quality client service.

The role requires at least 1 year of public accounting or related experience, a BA in accounting, CPA status or pursuit, and a commitment to excellence and accuracy in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of public accounting or relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s preferred.
• CPA certification or active licensure pursued.

Responsabilités

• Perform audit procedures on cash, AR, inventories, fixed assets, prepaids, AP, accrued expenses, debt, and income statement accounts.
• Identify and propose necessary adjusting journal entries.
• Communicate with client personnel to evaluate processes, controls, and compliance.
• Review transactions and apply GAAP appropriately.
• Prepare financial statement footnotes and internal control observations.
• Conduct research using online auditing and accounting resources.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by audit Supervisors.
