Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA with 7+ years of public accounting experience or its equivalent.
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Independent thinking and strong decision-making skills.
  • Technical knowledge sufficient to supervise Managers and Senior Associates in a wide variety of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of the audit process for Financial Services clients.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and manage engagement teams.
  • Mentor and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Supervisors.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continued success and growth of the California practice.

Position Profile

Weaver is seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Senior Manager to join our growing Financial Services practice, focusing on investment fund clients, including Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Real Estate funds. As the firm's largest individual practice group and one of its fastest-growing service lines, Financial Services offers professionals the opportunity to work with a premier client base while building a rewarding career in a high-growth environment. The Audit Senior Manager has significant opportunities for advancement at Weaver. In this role, you will lead all phases of the audit process, deliver exceptional client service, and foster the professional development of Associates, Senior Associates, and Supervisors through mentorship, coaching, and training. You will also collaborate closely with firm leadership on business development initiatives and key firm administration efforts, helping drive the continued success of the practice.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA with 7+ years of experience in or more of public accounting experience or its equivalent
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Demonstrates independent thinking and strong decision-making skills
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise Managers and Senior Associates in a wide variety of industries

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. In addition to compensation packages, Weaver offers competitive health benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
