Verital Advisory Search in Lincolnshire, IL & Chicago, IL (Hybrid) is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to lead audit engagements from planning through completion, mentoring staff, and building strong client relationships across diverse industries. You will work directly with leadership and have access to Partners in a supportive, award-winning culture.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA or CPA eligibility, and 3+ years of public accounting audit experience with demonstrated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA eligibility preferred.
• CPA or CPA eligibility required.
• 3+ years of public accounting audit experience with engagement leadership.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills; leadership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion with Managers/Partners.
• Review workpapers, coordinate teams, and mentor staff and associates.
• Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value.
• Work across industries including manufacturing, technology, and distribution.

• Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion while working closely with Managers and Partners.

• Gain exposure to clients across industries including manufacturing, construction, technology, distribution, and M&A-related engagements.
