This position performs audits, investigations, and advisory services across financial, compliance, functional, and operational areas, including specialized health sciences. The auditor determines audit scope, executes independent judgment, writes reports, and recommends improvements. Works with leadership across campus, helps develop policies and controls, and may lead complex projects and investigations.

Available at multiple classification levels; salary range: $93,200 – $174,200; expected pay up to $125,000.
• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• 6‑10 years of related experience, including internal audits, advisory services, and investigations.
• Substantial and progressive experience with IIA and UC standards.
• Preferred: experience in investigations, data analytics, and TeamMate working papers.
• Professional certification preferred: CIA, CISA, CPA, CFE, CA.
• Must pass a background check.
• Travel required, including outside normal business hours.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and comply with data protection laws.
• Advanced knowledge of audit profession, internal control systems, finance, accounting, and business operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and influence management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in drafting reports and using audit software.
• Demonstrated integrity, independence, and objectivity.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in higher education internal audits, investigations, information system reviews, and grant or contract review.
