Job summary

Basis is seeking a senior audit professional to own how audit works inside Basis, ensuring that agent-produced work reflects real-world audit practices and standards. You will collaborate with the largest firms, product and ML teams, and national offices to shape how audit is implemented in our platform.

You’ll bring 8+ years of audit experience, deep understanding of methodology, and strong communication skills to translate standards into practical tools and guidance for engagement teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of audit experience in a large firm or national office.
• Experience translating standards into practice for engagement teams.
• Ability to train practitioners and briefing leadership on approaches.
• Experience defending methodologies in peer review or inspections.

Responsibilities

• Own how audit works inside Basis to reflect actual audit practices and professional standards.
• Collaborate with top firms to bring their ways of working onto the platform and improve the experience.
• Work with product and ML teams on agent behavior and governance of audit tasks.
• Represent Basis in front of national offices and quality leaders on audit work.
• Update Basis when the profession's standards change.
