Job summary

Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm with a strong nonprofit focus, is seeking an Audit Manager, Non-profit in the Washington, DC area. You will manage multiple nonprofit Audits and engage with partners, clients, and staff to drive high-quality audits and new business opportunities.

You will work in a dynamic, growth-oriented culture that values initiative, coaching staff, and effective communication while traveling up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Nonprofit accounting specialization.
• 4-year bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CPA license.
• 5 years of experience working for a public accounting firm.
• Energetically managing, coaching, and developing staff accountants.
• Analytical skills in relation to financial statements and other financial information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with clients and co-workers.
• Demonstrating initiative and willingness to lead, make decisions, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conducting multiple auditing projects and client engagements.
• Effectively communicating with partners, staff and clients regarding expectations, status of engagements and other matters.
• Initiating an active role in marketing our firm services resulting in new business.
• Continuously fostering relationships with coworkers and clients.
• Traveling 15-20% of the time.

Position Responsibilities:

$131,000 - $156,997 a year

The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
