Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent.
• Current experience at Audit Manager level within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing several assignments and meeting competing deadlines.
• Confidence reviewing audit work and statutory financial statements.
• Interest in mentoring colleagues and contributing to the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors, overseeing assignments from planning through to completion.
• Ensuring audits meet relevant professional standards, budgets and deadlines.
• Leading audit planning and completion meetings.
• Reviewing audit files and working papers before final RI review and statutory accounts.
• Acting as the main contact for clients and responding to technical queries.
• Identifying significant audit matters and discussing recommendations with the RI.

As an Audit Manager, you’ll oversee assignments from planning through to completion, build strong client relationships and work closely with the firm’s senior leadership on technical matters and the development of the audit department.
