Job summary

KLR is seeking an Audit Manager to join our Audit Team with base in Boston, Andover MA or Providence, RI on a flexible hybrid basis. You will lead field work on financial statement audits, manage engagements, and mentor staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in technical audit, CPA, and a track record of managing engagements, with strong communication and leadership skills. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of technical audit experience in public accounting, or related field, 2 in managerial role.
• CPA is required.
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
• Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for client relationships within their area of expertise and for clients assigned to them.
• Direct field work on financial statement audit and accounting engagements.
• Schedule and monitor the progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates.
• Supervise and review engagement planning, train and evaluate associates and supervisors.
• Review all work before submission to Partners for further review.
• Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities.
• Understand the client’s organization, procedures and internal policies.
• Own client relationships and work product.
• Mentor, coach, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Foster a team environment and support management decisions.
• Participate in practice development activities to generate new business.
