Job summary

CLA, a top national professional services firm, is seeking an Audit Director or Audit Manager to join our Carolantaville Professional Services Industry team. This in-office role can be based in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem.

You will partner with clients to deliver audit services and provide business insights. As a key client advisor, you will lead engagements, manage budgets and timelines, mentor teams, and build strong relationships with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• 6+ years in large professional services or public accounting.
• CPA license required.
• Strong leadership and client service mindset.
• Ability to solve issues and present solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee audit engagements for professional services clients, guiding teams through the lifecycle.
• Drive engagement strategy, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution.
• Serve as trusted advisor to client leadership, communicating progress and recommendations.
• Mentor and develop high-performing teams, coaching and supporting growth.
• Cultivate strong client relationships and ensure seamless engagement from letter to final deliverables.
• Review audit programs and internal controls, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Monitor performance, budgets, and deadlines, identifying process improvements.
• Present findings and insights in client meetings to support informed decisions.

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is looking for an Audit Director or Audit Manager to join our growing Carolantaville Professional Services Industry team. This in-office role can be based in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem. As a key client advisor, you'll partner with professional services organizations to deliver audit services, provide business insights, and help clients navigate complex challenges with confidence.

How you'll create opportunities in this Audit Director or Manager role:

• Lead and oversee audit and assurance engagements for professional services clients, guiding teams through all phases of the engagement lifecycle while delivering exceptional client service and value.
• Drive engagement strategy, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and aligned with client expectations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and key decision-maker for client engagements, proactively communicating progress, recommendations, and significant developments to Engagement Principals and client leadership.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams by recruiting top talent, providing coaching and technical guidance, managing performance, and supporting professional growth opportunities.
• Cultivate strong client relationships by discussing engagement objectives, scope, timelines, and fees, ensuring a seamless experience from engagement letter through final deliverables.
• Review and enhance audit programs and internal control evaluations, providing technical oversight and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
• Monitor engagement performance, budgets, and deadlines while identifying opportunities to improve processes, deliver insights, and create meaningful value for clients.
• Facilitate impactful client meetings, presenting findings, recommendations, and strategic insights that help organizations make informed business decisions.

What you will need:

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management required.
• CPA license certification is required.
