Job summary

The Agency is recruiting an Audit Manager for a nationally recognized CPA and advisory firm. This role is based in Alabama with hybrid options across Birmingham, Huntsville, and Montgomery, offering leadership opportunities within a growing practice and exposure to high-quality client engagements.

The ideal candidate will hold a CPA license, have 5–7 years of public accounting experience, and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and time-management skills to mentor staff and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Active CPA license required.
• (5–7) years of public accounting experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities, good judgment, and professional skepticism.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, staff, and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Execute audit and assurance engagement activities to meet client expectations and firm standards.
• Communicate with Directors and Managers throughout all phases of engagements, including planning, scheduling, and client interactions.
• Manage workload with a sense of urgency to meet internal and client deadlines accurately and diligently.
• Contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment where increased responsibility is both offered and expected as you grow with the firm.
