Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking an Assurance Intern to support audit and other assurance engagements during the Winter internship season in New England. You'll work with experienced professionals, assist with procedures, prepare workpapers, and learn about clients' businesses and financial reporting processes.

The program emphasizes structured training, coaching, and hands-on involvement on engagement teams, with a hybrid in-office/work-from-home setup and exposure to technology and client service

Qualifications

• Foundational accounting knowledge from academic coursework.
• Ability to conduct basic research, analyze information, and document findings clearly.
• On track to meet educational requirements for CPA exam eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support audit and other assurance engagements while developing understanding of clients’ businesses.
• Assist with audit procedures, including testing account balances and transactions.
• Prepare clear workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, results, and conclusions.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to obtain information and maintain documentation.
• Communicate progress, questions, and issues promptly while applying feedback.
