Carr, Riggs & Ingram invites student interns to join our Audit Intern program for Spring 2028, offering hands-on exposure to substantive auditing and professional development within a national accounting firm.

As an Audit Intern, you will perform testing, document working papers, and learn to apply accounting principles while collaborating with teams. This paid internship is a stepping stone toward a rewarding accounting career with CRI.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student in an accredited college/university with an accounting major.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Familiar with Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle confidential information discretely.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform substantive auditing procedures in assigned areas.
• Understand the work to be performed and its purpose.
• Prepare working papers documenting tests and procedures to substantiate conclusions.
• Be alert to proper and consistent application of accounting principles in audit procedures.
• Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters that warrant management attention.
