Job summary

YHB | CPAs & Consultants is seeking proactive, detail-oriented interns to join our Audit Team for an 8-week summer program. You will perform audit testing on financial statement accounts and gain hands-on experience during on-site engagements at our offices, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates have intermediate accounting coursework, basic auditing knowledge, and strong communication skills, plus time management and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Knowledge from Intermediate Accounting I & II coursework.
• Basic understanding of auditing principles and practices.
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with accounting professionals to create connections in the professional world.
• Work collaboratively with other interns in a group project that will be presented at the end of the internship.
• Shadow Audit & Assurance professionals of all levels.
• Participating in client meetings alongside YHB managers.
• Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report.
