Job summary

EY USA is seeking a 360 Careers Intern in Assurance – Audit for Winter 2027 in Tysons, VA. You’ll identify potential audit issues, build analytical understanding of financial statements, and learn EY’s Audit Career Framework to map your early career path.

You’ll work in a hybrid model, travel as needed, and develop professional relationships while applying accounting knowledge to support clients and capital markets.

Qualifications

• A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, supported by a strong academic record,
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required, with a preference for candidates with acumulativeGPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Meet the minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state your base office is located prior to beginning full-time employment and have a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
• Excellent English language communication skills.
• An interest in working with our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
• Candidates interested in the Government & Public Sector industry must have U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated time frame, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance.

• Operate effectively in a regulated environment, with a focus on protecting the capital markets and the investing public.
• Develop and maintain relationships with our clients to provide definitive auditing services that the capital markets and the client can rely upon.
• Share the story of value-added insights discovered through data analysis with our clients.
