Fieldguide is a remote-first company building an AI-native platform for modern audit and advisory firms. As an Audit Innovation Lead, you will join a small team working at the intersection of audit expertise, product development, and AI.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of audit experience at senior manager level or above.
• Experience auditing financial statements end-to-end, including designing and executing audit workpapers.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience performing financial statement audits end-to-end, including planning and risk assessment, ICFR, substantive testing, and disclosures.
• Strong communication and ability to translate accounting concepts into product requirements.
• Experience across multiple clients and industries.

Responsibilities

• Help design the AI-powered workflows that will define the future of audit and assurance.
• Partner closely with engineering, product, and design teams to translate real-world audit processes into scalable product capabilities.
• Work directly with audit firms using Fieldguide to understand their workflows, pain points, and opportunities for automation.
• Identify edge cases, controls, and quality requirements to ensure the product meets the standards required for professional services workflows.
• Collaborate with our ML team to develop AI agent capabilities that assist with tasks such as document analysis, testing procedures, and evidence evaluation.
• Help rethink long-standing audit processes and shape how AI can augment professional judgment.
