Job summary

HTB is looking to grow its Audit + Assurance team in the Alexandria area. We welcome students and early-career professionals who are eager to learn, build client relationships, and develop a foundation in accounting, auditing, and assurance services.

You will work under direction of experienced staff, gaining exposure to policies, procedures, and testing of internal controls while developing proficiency in our technology and GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists audit professionals under direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Becomes familiar with the firm's policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit, and accounting procedures, and documentation and testing of internal controls.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Becomes proficient in the use of the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Begins to develop a command of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
