Job summary

Hannis-T.-Bourgeois, LLP is seeking candidates for its Audit + Assurance team in New Orleans to support audit engagements for diverse clients. You will assist experienced professionals, learn firm procedures, and build a foundation in GAAP and internal controls.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting with up to 2 years of related experience, and an interest in growing within a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment that emphasizes development and work-life

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist audit professionals under the direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers and Partners.
• Familiarize with firm policies and procedures including workpaper preparation, audit, accounting procedures, documentation and testing of internal controls.
• Stay current on technical issues and apply them to client circumstances.
• Proficiently use the Firm's technology and research tools.
• Develop a working knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
