CLA, a top 10 national professional services firm, seeks an Audit Associate to join the State and Local Government practice in Southern California. You will perform audits, support multiple client engagements, and help prepare financial statements while building client relationships.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in accounting/finance, 1 year of relevant experience, and CPA consideration. California compensation ranges from $65,000 to $110,000 with robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience in professional services.
• State and Local Government audit experience is a plus.
• CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Familiarity with internal software systems listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit work, reviews, some compilations and other assurance services.
• Support multiple client engagements and communicate progress to supervisors.
• Complete assigned portions of engagements accurately within deadlines.
• Interact with clients to gather information for timely wrap-up.
• Audit complex areas and prepare financial statements and reports; may direct small audits.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure effective service delivery.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
