Placements24 is seeking an Audit Associate to join our client’s expanding team in Welkom, Free State. You will assist senior auditors in planning and executing financial audits, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and contributing to high-quality assurance services.

This hybrid role offers growth, exposure to diverse clients across industries, and a pathway to SAICA/ACCA qualifications. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential as you collaborate with a dedicated audit

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related business field.
• Completion of, or progress towards, a professional qualification (e.g., SAICA articles, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• 0-3 years of experience in auditing or accounting roles.
• Understanding of auditing principles and financial statement assertions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a Welkom, Free State environment.
• Commitment to professional development and ethical conduct.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and executing financial statement audits for a variety of clients.
• Perform audit procedures, including testing of internal controls and substantive testing of financial data.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence, documenting findings clearly and concisely.
• Prepare audit workpapers and draft audit reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and discuss findings.
• Stay up-to-date with auditing standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Identify potential audit risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative audit process.
• Support senior audit staff in identifying areas for process improvement.
• Ensure adherence to firm policies and professional ethics throughout audit engagements in Welkom, Free State.
