CMMS CPAs & Advisors PLLC in Amarillo seeks an Audit Associate to join our audit team. You will support engagements, work with Directors, Managers, and CPAs, and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting with 0–2 years in public accounting or audit, and internship experience is preferred. Collaboration and client service are essential to succeed in our multi-state firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 0-2 years of public accounting or related experience.
• Internship experience in audit or assurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures in accordance with engagement plans and firm methodology.
• Prepare, organize and index audit workpapers.
• Assist with planning and completion of attest engagements.
• Test internal controls and document findings.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Participate in client fieldwork under supervision.
• Communicate with client personnel to obtain documentation and clarify information.
• Track assigned budget hours and communicate variances.
• Complete firm required training.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
