PKF O’Connor Davies in Shelton, CT is seeking an Audit Associate to support audit planning, testing and reporting for diverse clients. You will help develop strategy, review findings, and ensure quality standards while working under supervision.

The role requires a bachelor’s/master’s in accounting, CPA eligibility, strong Excel/Word skills, and willingness to travel locally 80%+ with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Accounting degree from an accredited college or university.
• Meeting all requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Proficient in GAAP/GAAS and SEC rules through coursework or training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and research capabilities.
• Must be willing to travel locally to clients 80%+ of the time with access to a car/public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of audit strategy, planning, review and interpretation of findings.
• Perform internal control testing and document deficiencies for management letters.
• Participate in risk assessment and related form completion.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and supplemental information.
• Ensure engagement execution adheres to policies, procedures, and budgets.
• Engage in learning, training, and professional development opportunities.
