You will assist in planning and executing audits, researching processes, and providing recommendations to improve client controls while building relationships with clients and team members. The role emphasizes confidentiality, deadlines, and collaboration with CPA certification progress encouraged.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience (audit experience preferred).
• CPA certification or significant progress toward certification.
• Strong time and work management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; effective.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues and apply accounting principles/auditing procedures.
• Prepare clear, concise work papers with definitive conclusions and recommendations for client letters.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients and show proactive understanding of their business needs.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate exemplary work habits in clients’ offices.
• Become an effective part of the client service team and build connections.
• Respond to clients in a timely manner as promised.
• Follow the firm’s practice management procedures.
• Anticipate problems and keep senior/manager informed of status; notify if billable hours deviate.
• Ask for timely feedback and assistance.
• Collaborate to identify opportunities among existing clients and participate in recruiting, training, and mentoring.
