Capstone is seeking an Assurance team member to perform compilation, review and audit tasks across diverse industries. You’ll work under partners and senior staff, gaining broad exposure to GAAP, SSARS, and professional standards while maintaining client confidentiality and handling multiple engagements.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with growth opportunities within a fast-growing CPA firm supporting a wide Western U.S. footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Progress toward or intent to obtain CPA license preferred.
• Basic understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS and financial statements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of compilation, review and audit procedures in accordance with SSARS and GAAS.
• Assist in analyzingfinancial data, investigating variances, and documenting conclusions.
• Perform audit testing, including evaluating or testing internal controls and substantive testing.
• Ensure engagement documentation complies with firm policies and professional standards.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and note disclosures.
• Communicate professionally with clients to request information and clarify accounting matters.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines concurrently.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with ethical standards.
