Job summary

Capstone Accounting, a growing CPA firm with 16 offices across the western U.S., is seeking an assurance professional to join our team. The role involves compilation, review and audit work across multiple industries, under the supervision of the Audit and Assurance partners.

You will gain broad exposure to assurance and accounting services in public accounting, with opportunities for professional development and CPA trajectory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Progress toward or intent to obtain CPA license preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in compilation, review and audit procedures per SSARS and GAAS.
• Analyze financial data, investigate variances, document conclusions.
• Perform audit testing and evaluate internal controls.
• Ensure engagement documentation complies with firm standards.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and notes.
• Communicate with clients to request information.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethics.
