Job summary

Armanino LLP is seeking an Associate II to contribute to audits from planning through completion in a collaborative firm environment. You will work on audits, reviews, and related engagements, gathering evidence to assess financial statements for material misstatement while guiding less experienced staff.

You’ll interact with clients to resolve issues and help deliver annual reports. You will build expertise in GAAP/GAAS, apply ethics and professional skepticism, and contribute to a strong team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of Public Accounting experience, including audit engagements.
• Demonstrate understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
• Ability to research and analyze technical issues independently as requested.
• Identify internal control deficiencies and communicate to clients.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Engagement.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and various engagements.
• Analyze financial statement data and draw logical conclusions.
• Exercise professional skepticism in audit evidence.
• Research and analyze clients, industry, and technical matters.
• Lead up to 5 staff, often coaching newer staff under supervision.
• Identify, assess, and document controls and weaknesses in client systems.
• Evaluate areas of financial statements and suggest improvements.
• Prepare clear and accurate workpapers.
• Communicate job status and issues to managers and seniors in a timely manner.
• Understand client businesses related to assurance areas.
• Comply with AICPA rules, FASB pronouncements, and applicable regulations.
• Follow Firm quality control policies and communicate professionally.
