Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking an Audit Associate to join our team in Connecticut. This role focuses on delivering audit and assurance services to privately held and public companies across stages of development, with strong emphasis on client engagement and professional development.

You will collaborate with engagement teams, perform substantive testing, and contribute to internal control evaluations while growing your client service and accounting skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA exam in the state considered.
• Outstanding academic performance, typically GPA 3.0+.
• Relevant internship or work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with all levels of client personnel.
• Demonstrated time management, communication, interpersonal, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team delivering audit and assurance services.
• Proactively engage with clients to gather information and respond to questions.
• Perform substantive testing on balance sheets and income statements.
• Test internal controls and discuss improvement recommendations.
• Learn and grow through coaching and firm-wide learning programs.
• Network internally and externally to build client relationships.
• Foster strong work relationships while gaining valuable experience.
