Job summary

Walker & Armstrong LLP in Tucson, AZ is seeking an audit associate to begin a career working with seniors, managers and partners on engagements, performing tests of controls, and testing account balances.

You will learn to draft financial statements and disclosures using modern, paperless tools, with opportunities for advancement in a diversified CPA firm serving nonprofit, government, and private clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS is required.
• Proficient with technology and MS Office.
• Experience with automated accounting systems is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Travel approximately 25% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of controls and confirmations of account balances.
• Assist in drafting financial statements and note disclosures.
• Collaborate with seniors, managers and partners on engagements.
• Learn and perform various audit engagements in a paperless environment.

As an audit associate, you will begin your career working in collaboration with seniors, managers, and partners on various engagements. You will have the opportunity to learn and perform a variety of aspects of the engagement. Your contribution will include performing tests of controls, confirmation and testing of account balances and activity and, assisting with the drafting of financial statements, note disclosures and related reports.
