Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years' experience in accounting and finance.
• Knowledge of GAAP for state and local governments and TEA accounting guidelines.
• Ability to use spreadsheet software for financial analysis and reporting.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Auditor in conducting audits per approved plan.
• Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidential data for objective opinions on controls.
• Inform the Internal Auditor of issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare detailed work papers documenting audits performed.
• Assist in drafting formal reports with recommendations to improve controls.
• Follow up on implemented recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
