Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Current undergraduate student (rising junior or senior preferred)
• Strong academic performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eager to learn, proactive, and collaborative
• U.S. citizenship required (due to potential federal client exposure)

Position Overview

The Audit & Advisory Externship offers undergraduate students an opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to the world of federal accounting and consulting. Over the course of two days to one week, externs will experience what it’s like to be part of a professional services team dedicated to public service. Externs will rotate through both Audit and Advisory service lines to observe real client projects, participate in interactive learning sessions, and gain insight into the responsibilities of professionals supporting federal financial management.

Hourly Rate

$15-$20 per hour

Final compensation will be determined based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, education, work location, security clearance level, certifications, and other factors permitted by applicable law. Salary ranges listed reflect the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
