Castro & Company, based in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support audit activities for Federal Government clients. You will lead and assist with contract audit support, develop rate letters, and perform determinations under the DCAA framework.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and technical excellence within Audit & Attest. A 1+ year background in government audits is preferred and active US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of DCAA contract type audit or compliance experience.
• CPA, or eligible to sit for the CPA exam, preferred.

• Manage audit requests and rate verifications.
• Prepare Indirect Rate Agreement Letters and Low‑Risk Memos.
• Perform Incurred Cost Proposal Submission Adequacy Determinations and Contractor Disclosure Statement Adequacy Determinations.
• Perform Analyses of Contractor Proposed Provisional Billing Rates.
• Prepare and review Pre‑Award Surveys of Contractor Accounting Systems.
• Maintain strong client focus and develop productive client relationships.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Manage audit requests and rate verifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field from an accredited university
• 1+ years of DCAA contract type audit or compliance experience
• CPA, or eligible to sit for the CPA exam highly preferred
• Ability to lead audit tasks and effectively collaborate with team members and clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
• Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a basic government suitability check (US Citizenship required)

Salary Range:$65K-$75K
Final compensation will bedeterminedbased on a range of factors, including relevant experience, education, work location, security clearance level, certifications, and other factorspermittedby applicable law. Salary ranges listed reflect the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
