Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Intelligence Systems (IS) seeks an Audiovisual Design & Integration Specialist (Senior or Lead) for a role based in Herndon, VA. You will design, configure and test advanced AV systems for government customers and lead system integration efforts.

The position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance and travel to multiple job sites; CTS certification and experience with DSP platforms and Crestron/Extron/Thinklogical are preferred.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Intelligence Systems (IS) is seeking motivated and self-starting Audiovisual Design & Integration Specialist (Senior or Lead) for a position based in Herndon, VA. Our team in the Washington, DC Metro region designs, configures, and operates advanced AV systems for U.S. Government customers.

Position Responsibilities

• Survey, plan, develop, design, configure, and test multi-classification AV solutions for government customers. Generate custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and systems configuration.
• Lead or attend customer stakeholder meetings to collect and document or validate system requirements. Research, identify, and recommend technology options to solve customer problems
• Draft system engineering documentation, including signal flows, line diagrams, bills of materials, rack elevations, and cable plants
• Support onsite installation of AV systems and lead system configuration phases
• Coordinate with customer facilities teams and other onsite sub-contractors and vendors during systems installation as required
• Support the development of end-user training materials and operations & maintenance plans
• Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations
• Develop expertise in the industry through continuing training, certifications, and review of trade publications

Basic Qualifications

• This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Clearances active in the past 24 months are accepted. The candidate must also be able to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
• Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to travel to various job sites as needed
• AV systems field installation experience
• This position is for first shift but may require occasional compensated, ad hoc support after hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 5: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Associate degree or higher
• AVIXA CTS certification
• DSP platform (Biamp, QSC, etc.) experience
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, and Thinklogical systems
• An adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph
