Palmetto ENT & Allergy is hiring an Audiology Tech to assist our audiology department under the supervision of Audiologists. Duties include verifying insurance, updating patient records in NextGen, and scheduling hearing aid appointments across offices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus six months of customer service and medical office reception experience. Strong communication, PC skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in customer service required.
• Six months experience in medical office reception preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; listening skills essential.
• Must be able to operate a personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Verify Insurance
• Update patient information in NextGen
• Schedule hearing aid appointments for all offices
• Chart review; ensure referrals are present in chart
• Call patients to pick up hearing aids
• Check hearing aids dropped off
• Check in hearing aids returning from manufacturer
• Perform hearing aid repairs and cleanings
• Execute paperwork for purchases, repairs, returns
• Provide orientation education
• All Bluetooth troubleshooting
• Stock supplies; report needs to director
• Wipe down equipment daily and troubleshoot as needed
