Job summary

HearingLife in Dunellen, NJ seeks an Audiology extern to gain hands-on experience and mentorship. Externs participate in evaluations, patient engagement, and education, with potential pediatric and vestibular exposure. This is a nationwide program within a leading hearing care network.

Active AuD students are invited to join a structured externship with ongoing workshops, senior preceptors, and opportunities for eventual full-time placement within HearingLife.

Qualifications

• Must actively be in an AuD program.

Responsibilities

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation.
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments.
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids.
• Earmold impressions.
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic.

Salary range is $22-26/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.
