UPMC is seeking an Audiologist to support Metropolitan ENT at the Wexford location in PA. The role offers a full-time schedule, primarily based in Wexford with potential travel to Passavant and Butler, PA.

Responsibilities include routine audiology testing, interpretation of results, and patient counseling within a collaborative otolaryngology practice. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsabilités

• Administer routine audiology tests.
• Interpret test findings and provide management recommendations.
• Demonstrate competence in at least 5 tests beyond the basic audiologic battery.
• Provide hearing-aid related services as needed.
• Contribute to didactic instruction or supervision of students/residents (hours per year).
• Participate in at least one public hearing screening or similar outreach program each year.
• Select hearing aids using appropriate methods and counsel patients on use.

UPMC is hiring an Audiologist to support Metropolitan ENT at our Wexford location, 6001 Stonewood Drive, Wexford, PA. This full-time position offers a Monday through Friday schedule of either 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and provides an excellent opportunity to deliver comprehensive audiologic care in a collaborative otolaryngology practice. Candidates should possess strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role will primarily be based in Wexford and may require travel to support additional Metropolitan ENT office locations in Passavant and Butler, PA

Responsibilities:

• Performs other special duties: it is generally expected that an audiologist will develop some special skill and share this skill by accepting a special responsibility.
• Demonstrates basics of service excellence towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians, and other departments.
• Sees that test equipment he/she uses is well maintained by being observant of signs of malfunctioning and reporting problems to the Senior Audiologist, Director, or service contractor (if appropriate).
• Administration of routine Audiology tests.
• Interpretation of test findings and management.
• The audiologist shall demonstrate competence in administering no less than 5 tests beyond the basic audiologic test battery.
• Performs additional hearing-aid related services.
• The audiologist is expected to contribute to no less than two hours per year of didactic instruction to medical students or residents or ten hours per year of supervision of residents or Audiology Students.
• The audiologist is expected to participate in no less than one public hearing screening program per year or other extramural public relation program of similar time commitment.
• Using appropriate test methods, selects appropriate hearing aids for potential or known wearers, evaluates success with use of instrument, and provides counseling in the use of the instrument.
• Takes part in clinical research projects as requested by the Director. Responsible for data collection, analysis, and written descriptions.
