Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an Audiologist to join our Pediatrics team. This PRN role requires working Monday–Friday with days varying and will involve comprehensive hearing assessments and patient-centered care.

The candidate should hold a Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) or a Master’s in Audiology (by 2008), and possess CCC-A along with an active Virginia Audiology License to practice in the state.

Formación

• Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) or Master’s in Audiology (before 2008).
• CCC-A certification is required.
• Virginia Audiology License from the Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsabilidades

• Performs full diagnostic hearing assessments using appropriate tests and equipment.
• Develops and implements treatment plans addressing deficits and family concerns.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and the care team.
• Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in evaluation, treatment and documentation.
• Collaborates with patients and families to set priorities and maximize participation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Audiologist Job Responsibilities:

• Completes full diagnostic hearing assessments using the appropriate testing method and equipment for the patient type, diagnosis, and reason for referral.
• Formulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
• Demonstrates advanced communication skills necessary for effective problem-solving, and conflict resolution and facilitates group interactions to achieve desired outcomes as evidenced by team feedback and observation.
• Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in patient evaluation treatment and documentation.
• Collaborates with the patient and/or family whenever possible to set treatment priorities and select activities that maximize participation in the treatment process as evidenced by feedback and observation.
• Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) or prior to January 1, 2008 a Master's in Audiology from an accredited institution
• Years of Experience: No experience required
• Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A)
• License: Virginia Audiology License from the Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of audiologist experience, including pediatrics experience
