Hiring Range

$75,379.20 - $135,699.20 (based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Performs a variety of duties involving the diagnoses, treatment, and management of individuals with hearing loss or balance problems.

I. Major Responsibilities

• 1. Identifies, assesses, diagnoses, manages, and interprets test results related to disorders of human hearing, balance, and other neural systems for pediatrics through geriatrics.
• 2. Evaluate auditory function of patients utilizing diagnostic audiologic tests that include, but are not limited to, pure tone and speech testing, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emission testing.
• 3. Evaluate vestibular system with videonystamography (VNG) procedures.
• 4. Perform advanced electrophysiologic tests that include, but are not limited to, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) testing.
• 5. Interpret results and counsel patients regarding their test results to determine a course of treatment and review options that best meet their hearing care needs

II. Position Qualifications

License/Certification/Education

Required:

• 1. Master's or Doctorate Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• 2. Massachusetts' Audiologist license.
• 3. Attainment of the Certificate of Clinical Competence within six months of date of hire.

Experience/Skills

Required:

• 1. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Audiology.
• 2. Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and making decisions.
• 3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 4. Ability to work cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team.
• 5. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

• 1. Minimum of 1 year Audiology experience.
