Description

The Audiologist will provide diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitative audiological services to patients of all ages.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides rehabilitative audiological services. Administers and interprets audiological tests, develops a treatment plan, and establishes goals for each patient. Monitors progress of recommendations and treatment plans and reassesses as appropriate.
  • Calibrates equipment, prepares related reports, and maintains the audiological suite, materials, and supplies.
  • Communicates with patient and family and provides counseling when appropriate.
  • Provides case management services and makes client referrals to other social or health service agencies.
  • Logs procedures and submits charges to the department secretary for submission to the billing department.
  • Writes evaluation reports and daily progress notes on a timely basis.
  • Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge in field of audiology. Prepares and presents in-service education to staff and the community.
  • Assists in implementing and monitoring the department’s quality assurance program.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in audiology.
  • Current license or eligibility for licensing as an audiologist.
  • Certified or certification eligible by the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Woodbridge, Virginia, located approximately 20 miles south of Washington, D.C., is a rapidly growing community in Prince William County. The town offers a variety of amenities, including Potomac Mills, one of the largest shopping centers in northern Virginia, and Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center. The area is also home to several parks, including Leesylvania State Park and the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, providing ample recreational opportunities .
