The role offers the opportunity to practice full scope adult audiology, with pediatric patients to a limited extent, in medically integrated centers. You will diagnose, fit, and troubleshoot hearing aids, counsel patients, and collaborate with physicians to coordinate care. The position supports flexible schedules in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree.
• Active New York Audiology license with hearing aid dispensing authority.
• Medicare/Medicaid enrollment preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience with diagnostic audiology, hearing aid fittings, programming, verification, and patient counseling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible full-time and part-time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations.
• Conduct hearing aid evaluations and recommend appropriate hearing technology.
• Fit, program, verify, and troubleshoot hearing aids.
• Provide hearing aid follow-up care, adjustments, maintenance, and patient education.
• Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, amplification, communication strategies, and hearing healthcare.
• Perform cerumen management, where permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical office staff, and referral sources to deliver exceptional patient care.

Job description

A well-established, privately owned hearing healthcare practice is seeking an Audiologist to support its growing network of 13 established locations across Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. Rather than operating from retail storefronts, the practice's clinics are located within established medical centers, providing a consistent flow of physician referrals and an established patient base.

Providers have the opportunity to work from locations that best align with their preferred geographic area and commuting distance while enjoying a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare environment.

Clinical Focus

This position provides the opportunity to practice the full scope of adult audiology, including:

• Comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations
• Hearing aid evaluations, consultations, fittings, programming, verification, and follow-up care
• Hearing aid troubleshooting, adjustments, cleanings, and maintenance
• Patient counseling and audiologic rehabilitation
• Cerumen management (where permitted)
• Collaboration with physicians and medical office teams to coordinate patient care

Pediatric patients (ages seven and older) represent a small portion of the patient population.

Position Overview

The Audiologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations and hearing healthcare services while developing individualized treatment recommendations based on each patient's hearing loss, communication needs, and lifestyle.

Practice locations are available throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island, with assignments based on provider preference and commuting distance whenever feasible.
