Job summary

MedElite seeks a compassionate Audiologist to evaluate and manage hearing and balance disorders in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will diagnose, treat, and provide patient-centered audiologic care to geriatric patients, improving communication and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations including pure-tone audiometry and tympanometry.
  • Diagnose hearing loss and balance disorders and plan treatment.
  • Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and devices.
  • Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Document evaluations and outcomes accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical and infection control standards.
  • Travel to facilities as assigned.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Audiologist to join our growing team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage hearing and balance disorders for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to deliver patient-centered audiologic care while improving communication, safety, and overall quality of life for a geriatric population.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry
  • Diagnose hearing loss and balance-related conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
  • Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding hearing health and device use
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and care teams
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and infection control standards
  • Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) required
  • Current state Audiology license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings strongly preferred
  • Experience working with hearing aids and assistive listening devices
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and patient-care abilities
  • Comfortable working with the geriatric population
  • Prolonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation. Occasional lifting. Lifting/moving patients.
  • Ability to travel as needed
