Andrew Wommack Ministries in Woodland Park, CO is seeking an entry-level Audio-Visual Technician to support AV needs across classrooms, studios, and events. You will operate mixers, switchers, projection, and livestream equipment, and assist with setup, testing, and on-site troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and tear down AV systems for classrooms, studios, and events.
  • Operate audio consoles, video switchers, graphics systems, and lighting boards.
  • Assist with microphone routing, projection, and livestream support.
  • Follow cues and communicate with leads during live productions.
  • Load and run presentations and lyrics as needed.
  • Support camera operation and studio resets.
  • Participate in rehearsals and pre-event technical checks.
  • Maintain clean, safe tech spaces and collaborate with other teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Level: Entry • Job Location: Charis Bible College Colorado – Woodland Park, CO 80863 • Position Type: Full Time • Education Level: High School

The Audio-Visual Technician serves as a flexible, skilled team member supporting audio, video, lighting, and media production needs across studios, classrooms, worship services, conferences, and special events. Technicians may be assigned roles ranging from basic setup and support to advanced live console operation and troubleshooting. This position helps carry out the mission of the ministry by ensuring technical excellence and support for all media-driven ministry environments.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and tear down AV systems for classroom instruction, studio, events, and live performances.
  • Operate audio consoles, video switchers, graphic presentation systems, and lighting boards.
  • Assist with microphone and audio routing, projection, and livestream support.
  • Follow production runsheets, cue sheets, and communicate with leads during live events.
  • Load and run presentations, lower thirds, slides, and lyric content as needed.
  • Support camera operation, technical prep, and studio resets.
  • Assist in pre-event technical checks, rehearsals, and equipment testing.
  • Provide technical support for conferences, worship, creative arts, and Charis productions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in tech booths and AV work areas.
  • Adapt quickly to changes and collaborate with other techs, leads, and departments.
  • Participate in cross-training when possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General knowledge of audio, video, or lighting technology based on skill level.
  • Ability to take direction, follow checklists, and assist in team environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and situational awareness during live productions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Able to work on a team and communicate clearly with supervisors, teachers, on-set talent, and other crew members.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, set up and tear down AV equipment, and work on a ladder if needed.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends during conferences.
  • Open to learning new skills and staying up to date with equipment and production tools.
  • Familiarity with Mac/Windows platforms and software tools (e.g., ProPresenter, QLab, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
  • Team-oriented attitude with flexibility to support ministry needs as assigned.
  • For advanced levels: ability to lead technical execution of live AV systems with minimal supervision.
Requirements
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission and values of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Occasional extended hours based on production needs.
  • Must pass all required checks.
Experience
  • Experience levels vary by assignment and are assessed upon hire and placement.
  • Levels I–II may include minimal to moderate AV experience.
  • Levels III–VIII may include extensive live event, broadcast, or technical production experience.
  • Ministry, church, or worship production experience is highly valued at all levels.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
