Job summary

Architechne specializes in high-end residential AV, lighting, and automation. The Lead AV Technician / Smart Home Programmer will lead installations, perform programming, and ensure seamless client handoff on luxury projects.

The role requires at least five years of hands-on experience with Savant, Control4, Lutron, Josh.ai, and residential networking. Excellent communication with homeowners and trade partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on experience in custom high-end residential integration.
• Proven programming experience with Savant, Control4, Lutron, and Josh.ai.
• Strong knowledge of lighting control, residential networking, and AV distribution.
• Experience coordinating electrical requirements for lighting and integrated technology systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across wiring, networking, programming, and equipment.
• Ability to lead a field team, manage priorities, and maintain exceptional workmanship.
• Professional communication and confidence working in clients’ homes.
• Manufacturer training and certifications are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, program, and troubleshoot Savant, Control4, Lutron, and Josh.ai systems.
• Commission Lutron HomeWorks lighting control systems, including keypads, dimming modules, scenes, schedules, and integration with other home systems.
• Install and configure Ketra and DMF architectural lighting, with an understanding of fixture compatibility, dimming performance, and control requirements.
• Configure and troubleshoot residential networks, including routers, managed switches, wireless access points, VLANs, PoE, and remote management.
• Install and commission distributed audio/video, home theaters, displays, projectors, equipment racks, and motorized shades.
• Read drawings, wiring diagrams, lighting plans, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, electricians, and other trades.
• Maintain clear documentation, verify system performance, and teach clients how to use their systems.

Lead AV Technician / Smart Home Programmer

ABOUT ARCHITECHNE

Architechne designs and installs custom technology systems for high-end residential projects, including home automation, architectural lighting, lighting control, audio/video, networking, and motorized shades. We work closely with homeowners, designers, builders, and trade partners to create systems that feel intuitive and perform reliably.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have major luxury residential projects coming up and are looking for an experienced technician and programmer who can lead installations, solve problems, and take ownership from installation through commissioning and client handoff.

This is a senior, hands-on position requiring at least five years of experience in custom high-end residential AV and home technology integration.
